About the Blog
Science is an integral part of all of our lives, but it has unfortunately become something seen as being only for the elite, educated few. I want to break down these barriers and make science, and particularly biology, accessible and approachable.
I also have a passion for incorporating real science into fantasy and science fiction stories. Inaccurate science has done enough harm in media, and I believe that stories can be compelling and interesting, while still containing biologically accurate worldbuilding.
The Writing Biologist combines these twin passions of accessible science and science in storytelling.
